Research area
I utilize single particle levitation techniques to study microphysics (thermodynamic as well as kinetic properties), chemistry and optical properties of surrogates for atmospheric aerosol. Currently, I am focusing on feedbacks between microphysics and heterogeneous chemistry, in particular photochemistry in the condensed phase of aerosol. Here, new techniques - coupling single particle levitation to mass spectrometry – are under development.
