Flossie Brown completed her undergraduate and masters at the University of Cambridge in 2020 and obtained her PhD from the University of Exeter in 2024 (Title: Next-generation modelling for ozone-plant damage). Her masters publication 'On the magnitude and sensitivity of the QBO response to a tropical volcanic eruption' explored large-scale circulation responses to volcanic forcings and was awarded a prize from the Department of Chemistry, Cambridge. Then, during her PhD, Flossie studied surface ozone chemistry in the tropics and its effect on vegetation using modelling. She joined ETH Zurich in 2024.
