Research area

Cloud formation: The influence of organic substances on the hygroscopic growth of atmospheric aerosol particles and their activation to cloud droplets. Microphysical and chemical processes that I am currently investigating:

  • Co-condensation
  • Surface tension lowering
  • Dissociation of organic acids
  • Non-ideality and liquid-liquid phase separation

This research is part of the swiss-french ORACLEcall_made project and further described here.
