Atmospheric Sciences ETH ranked #5 worldwide and #2 in Europe
This year’s Shanghai University Ranking confirms the excellent position of ETH Zurich in the area of the atmospheric sciences. One of the ETH institutes in this research area is the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science (IAC) of the Department of Environmental Systems Science (D-USYS).
For the first time, the Shanghai University Ranking has provided a separate ranking for the Atmospheric Sciences. ETH Zurich fared very well and was ranked #5 worldwide and #2 in Europe in this area of research. Although these rankings do not tell the full story, the position of ETH is remarkable.
The ranking is published by the ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. This is an independent organization on higher education. The ranking is based on a number of indicators, among these publication activities in top journals.
