Teleconnections
Global or hemispheric-wide circulation anomaly patterns, which are synchronized over large distances by stationary Rossby waves or the jet stream are refered to as teleconnection patterns. Research focuses on the teleconnection patterns during seasons affected by the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and how stationary and transient waves mutually interact to shape these patterns.
