Prof. Dr. Reto Knutti
I lead the climate physics group and do research and teaching on many topics related to climate change.
These include long term projections, scenarios, the 2°C target, uncertainties in projections, climate model evaluation, model weighting, natural climate variability, attribution of observed changes to human activities, feedbacks and climate sensitivity, extreme weather events, and regional projections.
But my interests go as far as climate services, climate policy, economics, science communication and visualization, environmental philosophy and sustainability. I am also the Associate Vice President for Sustainability at ETH, an active promoter of the role of science in society, and involved in many outreach activities.
